Associate Director - Strategic Insights Consultancy

Job description

Our client is a trailblazing strategic insights & consulting firm. A national, independent business of 60+ legends that provides evidence-based insights to a range of client organisations to help them make informed business and marketing decisions. Building great brands, compelling products and services and exceptional customer experience.
People who work there tell us they feel valued and influential. It’s challenging work that’s intellectually exciting and bolstered by total commitment from senior leadership to a vibrant inclusive and healthy workplace culture.

This is seen in special benefits like 6 months paid parental leave, swapping public holidays, extra annual leave, wellbeing and perks programs, progressive flexible working, annual whole company trips, lucrative bonuses (yes plural!), brand new office space, other industry-leading employee benefits.

We are looking for top talent in the growing Melbourne team. You’ll click with us if you thrive on:

Fascinating projects – a constant stream of diverse quantitative briefs - brand tracking, ad testing, segmentation, U&As, path to purchase/journey mapping, and product/concept development for iconic brands, and punchy start-ups.

Client development - the art of building relationships, and truly immersing yourself in partnership with an ever-growing client base (teleco, education, finance, FMCG, sports, retail).

Collaboration – you love brainstorming to elevate and inspire your thinking and others. It leads to brilliant ideas, compelling proposals, and smashing deliverables, where you know you’ve nailed it.

Problem solving – you’re organised and can come up with structured plans to bring clarity and direction to the team by landing on a clear plan of attack.

Team management – formal line management of 1 direct report, in an informal way. Here, senior people are open, approachable, and work hands-on on all aspects of the research process. Passionate about bringing the best out of people personally and professionally.

In a nutshell, this is an opportunity to really spread your wings and learn from some of the best in the industry. This role reports into a particularly amazing Director – a wicked smart, structured, thoughtful operator and manager who will be a fantastic advocate. It’s a full serviced consulting role with 1 direct report, with uncapped progression for growth in a thriving business.

Sound like you?
  • Experience agency-side
  • A buttoned-down quantitative researcher
  • Customised research methodologies – zero off the shelf work here.
  • We’re industry agnostic, but FMCG experience would be grand.
  • A critical thinker and strategist with an expert toolkit of quantitative research tools and techniques – proposal through to presentation.
  • Strong hands-on analytical skills with stats packages like Q
  • We’ll be singing off the same page if you share values of high-quality work; teamwork and collaboration; honesty and authenticity; caring for yourself, others and the community; life-long learning.
