The role:
In this role, we are looking for someone who can confidently lean into emotive social topics (violence against women, suicide, mental health etc) and have meaningful discussions with respondents and the client. Projects will include:
- State, Federal Departments plus social organisations covering social equality, public health, financial wellbeing, ageing, human rights, gambling, education, water/road safety, bushfire preparedness.
- Major brands across - financial, utilities, university, and retail.
- Concept testing, stakeholder consultation, behaviour change, strategic communications. Product and choice modelling, brand & communication, customer experience, segmentations.
- Confidently hold chats with clients to understand and anticipate needs
- Have the drive to take on responsibility for projects, with the support of a Director
- Qualitative research – including design of approach and fieldwork.
- Experience conducting qual with vulnerable audiences
- Design quantitative surveys and analyse data, which you can overlay with a strategic perspective.
- Help to craft reports and story led presentations
- Present insights and strategic roadmaps to clients to fulfill commercial objectives
- Sit comfortably as a mentor to junior researchers, and be a support to the senior team
- Leverage insights from alternative sources, like their fabulous trends monitor.
- Ideally c5 years + experience working in market or social research
- A dualist researcher with capability in qualitative and quantitative methodologies
- Recent agency experience
- Interested in a focus on social work with some commercial projects
- Experience of challenging social topics and qualitative research essential.
- Know your way around Q or SPSS.
