Account Director - Social & Commercial Insights & Strategy

Half the work is social so your market research skills will have a positive effect on the lives of everyday Australians by improving services, communications, and policy.
  
The other half is sharp commercial projects for ASX banks, insurers, retailers or universities building strategic roadmaps for their brand, innovating new services or re-designing their customer experience.
  
Either way, it’s all about understanding people, culture, behaviour and being able to put the customer at the centre of decision making.
  
You'll get to weave quantitative and qualitative methodologies together. Entirely bespoke, you won't find any cookie-cutter research methodologies.
  
The work you’ll love:
  • State & Federal Government & social organisations covering social equality, public health, financial wellbeing, ageing, human rights, gambling, education, water/road safety, bushfire preparedness.
  • Major brands across - financial, utilities, university, and retail.
  • Concept testing, stakeholder consultation, behaviour change, strategic communications. Product and choice modelling, brand & communication, customer experience, segmentations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage long standing client relationships
  • Design multi-method quantitative and qualitative research programs
  • Lead projects and support junior members of staff
  • Weave a narrative from data sets
  • Add top level thinking to all projects and client deliverables
  • Work with the senior management team to highlight new opportunities
  • Positively influence clients with story-led presentations
  • Support thought leadership and innovation
Desirable experience:
  • Significant experience in social and/or market research
  • Experience research agency side essential
  • Broad experience of designing ad hoc research from pitch to presentation
  • Core quantitative research skills are key for this role, qual is a nice to have.
  • Curiosity, and passion for learning new topics
  • Happy to work on a mix of mostly social, and some commercial research
  • A problem solver
