Senior Research Consultant - Community Engagement | Behaviour Change | Communication Strategy

Role Purpose:
As a Senior Research Consultant, you will lead research initiatives focused on behaviour change and social research, utilising both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
You will be the resident research expert to steer approach, methodology, projects and outcomes working collaboratively with the wider multi-disciplinary team on standalone research projects and within wider consultations.
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design effective and accessible qualitative and quantitative research methods, including focus groups, in-depth interviews, workshops, and surveys.

  • Lead analysis and strategic interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data.

  • Provide clear strategic recommendations and insights through compelling reports and presentations.

  • Apply behavioural frameworks and advise on behaviour change interventions.

  • Build internal research capability through knowledge sharing and mentoring.

  • Manage qual recruitment and supplier relationships for data collection.

  • Act as the research expert in Government proposal writing, ensuring alignment with project goals.

  • Contribute to project budgeting and timeline planning.

About You:
We are seeking an experienced social and government researcher with experience of the key responsibilities shared above.
  
Your Expertise:

  • Experience of working in a social research agency or similar social consultancy ideal

  • Skilled in designing and delivering accessible, culturally sensitive research

  • A dualist with both qualitative and quantitative expertise

  • Experience across a wide range of social topics and projects such as campaign evaluations, communications strategy, service evaluation, policy evaluation etc

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate findings into actionable insights.

  • Familiarity with behavioural science frameworks and their application to research.
