Associate Director - Market Research Operations, Data Automation (Displayr) & AI

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join an agile and future-focused independent market research and insights agency in a newly created position focusing on data automation and innovation. Working with high-profile clients within FMCG and Consumer Services, their vision is to continue to shape the future of brand and customer experience research, delivering top-tier insights to clients across Australia and New Zealand.

As an Associate Director within their Research and Data Operations team, you will drive the selection and implementation of new tools and technology to keep this business at the top of its game, helping it automate its reporting ecosystems via Displayr and leverage the best AI and technology has to offer. The work centres on sizeable, high-profile, always-on tracking programs for global and local brands across sectors (FMCG, Media, Telco, Finance), and you'll be comfortable working with large volumes of quantitative survey data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design: Collaborate with client teams to transform research briefs into structured reports that align with client vision, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Production: Oversee the production process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of client insights, leveraging automated workflows for maximum efficiency.
  • Technology: Lead the selection and implementation of advanced analytical tools (AI, machine learning) to optimise the research process and drive actionable insights.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement a rigorous QA framework, ensuring 100% accuracy and client satisfaction in all deliverables.
  • Team Leadership: Develop and mentor junior team members, fostering continuous learning and development while ensuring consistent, high-quality output.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with client teams and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of research briefs and meet client expectations.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in research data operations and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of tools like Displayr and Q.
  • A passion for innovation and a forward-thinking mindset, with experience in utilising AI and other technologies in research.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
