Quantitative Research Director

Job description

Our client is a high-end Sydney-based consumer insights consultancy known for turning complexity into clarity.
They are an agile, innovative team of method-agnostic researchers, strategists, analysts, and consultants who use advanced quantitative and rigorous qualitative methodologies to decode consumer behaviour. Trusted by many of Australia’s top brands—including airlines, tech, retail, financial services, FMCG, and professional bodies—they partner directly with C-suite decision-makers.
All projects are bespoke, intellectually stimulating, and crafted with pride. Recent work includes shaping a loyalty program’s future strategy, developing a multi-market brand strategy for a global retailer, and designing behavioural strategies to increase charitable donations and optimise pricing.

The Role: Quantitative Associate Director

This is a unique opportunity for a senior quantitative researcher to work closely with a highly regarded Director, acting as 2IC in leading a cross-functional team of 5 (who are brilliant!)
As an Associate Director, you’ll oversee projects from pitch to presentation, elevate team thinking, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to business growth—all while staying hands-on with complex data analysis (regression, segmentation, drivers, and conjoint) as you love the craft.
We're seeking strategic thinkers who excel in storytelling, presenting, and setting direction, as well as technical analysis and reporting—equally happy on the tools and in the boardroom.
Joining the leadership team of this growing boutique agency offers fast-tracked career progression in an environment where your voice is heard and an opportunity to have influence and set the tone of the team.
Based in leafy Darlinghurst, in a bright, open-plan warehouse office surrounded by great cafes and bars, they offer hybrid working, a strong work-life balance, and financial bonuses. The founders are industry legends known for their calm and inspiring leadership. You’ll be supported, rewarded, and stimulated.

Ideal Requirements:
  • 8+ years of quantitative research agency experience
  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis tools: Excel, Q, SPSS
  • Ability to deliver complex data insights with commercial impact
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build trusted client partnerships
  • Strategic mindset, engaging personality, and confidence
  • A desire to step up, grow and advance your skills in an independent agency with no limits to your progression or development
