Dualist Social Market Research Consultant
Job description
Do you want to deliver insights that drive meaningful change?
Our client is an award-winning social and commercial research agency that blends empathy, insight, and strategy to make the world a better and safer place.
As part of a prestigious global communications group, they combine the reach and resources of a large network with the agile, tight-knit culture of a boutique team of 30+.
This agency is methodology-agnostic, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches with cultural insights and behavioural economics to unearth deeper truths about people, culture, and behaviour.
Their work tackles some of society’s most pressing issues, from homelessness and mental health to sustainability and education, empowering clients to inform policies, enhance services, and inspire positive change.
The Role
As a Senior Research Consultant, you’ll take the lead on high-impact social and commercial research projects, guiding them from initial brief through to final presentation. You’ll play a hands-on role across every stage, including client management, survey design, qualitative fieldwork (such as in-depth interviews, online communities, focus groups, and ethnographic studies), project management, and data analysis. Your insights will shape actionable recommendations, spark change, and tell compelling stories.
With a strong focus on qualitative research, it’s essential that you’re comfortable leading focus groups, in-depth interviews, ethnography, observations, online communities, and behavioural interventions. You’ll thrive on the variety of projects, from designing behavioural nudges to reduce emergency calls, to ethnographic research on at-risk drivers, to shaping communications around water safety, bushfire preparedness, and recycling initiatives.
Key Qualifications:
As a WORK180 employer of choice, this agency is committed to supporting your professional and personal growth. You’ll enjoy benefits like hybrid working, flexible hours, fantastic offices, research conference attendance, progressive paid parental leave, 25+ days of annual leave, and 1:1 mentoring. Here, you’ll find a team that’s passionate, dedicated, and focused on making a real impact.
